Marbella With Alex

My moment for this week is not just one moment. It’s the whole darn weekend!! Alex came to visit me in Marbella!!!

I don’t think we’ve ever explained this but we have a tradition that we meet up at least once a year. And throughout the time that we’ve been doing this, I’ve realized we picked up a pattern. I went to her first then she came to me then we met in a completely new place before I went back to her and now she came to me. You know what that means? Next year we have to pick a new location to meet at. I’m really excited and curious to see what we will choose.

Anyway, let’s get back to our amazing weekend in Marbella! It was full of beach, yoga, bike riding, a spontaneous day trip, dancing and Llaollao. This weekend was so nice and I wish that it could have been longer. Why does time always have to go by so fast?!

This post is basically going to be pictures of our weekend together. Aside from that, I would like to point out that it was such an amazing feeling knowing that Alex would be coming to visit and I was so frickin’ happy the entire time she was here. We have the type of friendship that it’s like we were never separated when we see each other….and we want to hug each other a lot. These yearly trips we take for each other will always be worth it, no matter how short or long they are.

You just left me this afternoon, Alex, and I miss you already! I can’t wait until next year when we see each other again!

Changes Are Coming

It is the end of an era for the blog. We will stop putting up our favorite moments of the day. We have decided to make it private again and just between the two of us.

We hope that you keep looking for that bright moment of the day among yourselves no matter how bad your day went. If you keep looking hard enough, you’ll be able to find the moment that makes the day better than you thought it was.

Of course we will keep giving you inspirations for those moments – we will write more about unique moments and get into more detail concerning what made this moment special and why we appreciate it.

One Week

Friday: The atmosphere of Orgullo Gay.

Saturday: World Pride 2017 parade!

Sunday: Waking up with no alarm. It’s a rarity and I can’t wait to do it more often.

Monday: Wakeboarding and boating.

Tuesday: Going down to the lake with the girls and playing in the water.

Wednesday: Arriving back in Madrid in time to celebrate my friend’s birthday with her.

Thursday: Washing my hair.

Friday: The happiness of everyone at the engagement party.

Luggage and Dinner

Tuesday: I was able to move my luggage from being stranded on furniture in he middle of my flooded room to a dry location that I could access it whenever I wanted.

Wednesday: Dinner with Kathrin and Teresa! Both of them are also VAs and we met through the Digital Nomad Kit. So happy we were able to meet after having to rearrange plans a couple of times.

Thursday: Getting my luggage back after the moving company accidentally packed it and put it into storage.

Activity Books

My host mom and I were cleaning out the kids’ toy area and she gave me some activity books. One was a kid’s activity book that I ended up deciding to donate once I realized it wasn’t how I thought it was going to be. The second was an adult coloring book which I’m still undecided if I want to keep.

Anything Possible

I have a friend who loves it when you run your fingers/nails lightly over their back, arms, and legs. So today, this happened

Him: “Are you done working with the kids?”

Me: “Well, they aren’t with me at the moment.”

Him: “Great” and then proceeds to lay down “Pleeease, Barbara”

Me: Trying to get out of it, “I’m sorry. You are too far away.”

Him: Moves so he is right next to me, “Please.”

And then because I am nice, I went ahead and did it.

Also, imagine that half of the conversation happened in Spanish.
